New Release of Books
The As a proof of our continuing effort to play an active part in
publication of work/research, two members of our Advisory Board had
recently released their new books, namely Dr. Yong Fung Lan
(Academic Director, EU Malaysian Campus) and Prof. Mohammed Salleh
(Business & Quality Management).
Dr. Yong’s book, “Academic Writing: Essays for Analysis” [Lambert
Academic Publishing], which was released in August this year came in
timely where it provided step-by-step guidance on effective academic
writing. Dr. Yong’s book begins with Part 1 on the essentials of
academic writing: The Writing Process, followed by a collection of
sample essays in Part II: Academic Essays for analysis and in Part
III: Sample essays submitted by students. The Checklists appears in
the last Part to the book, with few thoroughly thought out
checklists for students to examine on prior to submission of their
essays.
This book is anticipated to be one of the most authoritative and
useful guides ever written by academics specialising in the English
Language.
Meanwhile, Prof. Mohammed Salleh’s article on Strategic Business
Options in ASEAN, titled “Corporate Strategy : Seizing Opportunities
in ASEAN” was recently released in the UK Professional Business &
Technical Management (PBTM) Journal, and is scheduled for
publication in the Oxford's International Journal of Decision Ethics
sometime in December this year.
This new article is certainly a much awaited continuation of Prof.
Salleh’s publication, judging from the adoption of his previous work
(in 2001) for undergraduate research. The book entitled “Supervisory
Management And Its Link To The Human Resources Function” is
available in the libraries of Ohio State University, the Western
Ontario University / McMaster University, Canada and Stanford
University / Michigan State University, USA and the Chinese
University of Hong Kong.
Prof. Salleh’s had also previously written in 1993 the “Corporate
Strategy for Doing Business in the Asia Pacific Region", Cross
Cultural Management: An International Journal, Vol. 4 Iss: 3, pp.19
– 25.
